Capt. Julian grew up fishing the Chandeleur Islands with his family from the time he could swim, until he was 16 years old. Julian then took a job as a deckhand on a Chandeleur charter vessel under the captaincy and tightly run ship of his older brother. He held this job for three years, laying the groundwork for his love and passion for Chandeleur charter fishing. At 19, he enlisted in the United States Navy. After four years of service, and over 50,000nm sailed, he rejoined the civilian life and obtained his USCG 100ton master captains license. Now, after almost ten years of working as a hired captain, he has made the decision to step up to owner/operator of Sunrise Sportfishing LLC.
